PERMANENT ROTATING FOOD SERVICE SPECIALIST:
23 hours per week / 43 weeks per year.Permanent position to substitute in agency center kitchens when regular food service employee is absent or as an extra in the agency’s main kitchen. Responsible for the smooth operation of center kitchens, mainly responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch and snack daily according to program menus and recipes and maintaining established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of nutrition, purchasing, sanitation and menu planning and/or food service experience preferred. Must relate well to children and families, be flexible and willing to learn, able to lift 25 pounds and have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave and holiday pay.
Early Reading First Substitute Teacher Assistant: $10.00 per hour (Lewiston-Auburn)
Responsibilities include assisting classroom staff in the safe operation of the classroom when replacing a teacher or teacher assistant who is absent from the classroom. Must be available from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Minimum of 10.5 hours per week. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds, get down on the floor with children fro floor time activities, possess a positive attitude, ability to follow directions and take initiative. Must have a reliable vehicle.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Child care experience and/or education recommended.
SUBSTITUTE JANITOR: On call as needed. (Lewiston-Auburn)
Clean background check and janitorial experience preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER ASSISTANT: On call as needed for part day Head Start Pre-K and full day Head Start Pre-K and child care classrooms. Availability until 5:30 Monday through Friday. High School diploma or equivalent required. Early childhood education and/or experience preferred.
