Androscoggin Head Start

Head Start is

a program for children and their families. Head Start succeeds in teaching children how to be successful in group settings, and prepares them academically for kindergarten. Head Start builds partnerships with all families, including support for families to pursue their goals. Head Start curriculum and activities are designed to be fully inclusive of children with varying abilities, including those with moderate to severe disabilities. Some services offered are:

Early childhood education
Free nutritious meals
Health services
Social services
Services for children with special needs
Parent and family involvement
Literacy and language development.

Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care's mission is to promote the positive growth of children, families and staff.

Serving children and families in living, working, or continuing their education in Androscoggin County with classrooms located in Lewiston, Auburn, Lisbon Falls, and Livermore Falls.
